Inspired by mid-century modern design, the pierced collection is wheel thrown and hand pierced stoneware with a rich, rhubarb, satin glaze. Small holes are created when the clay is still wet and then each hole is painstakingly enlarged and smoothed when the clay is bone dry. The interplay of light and shadow, color and form complements any urban, contemporary or transitional space.

The Crown Fruit Bowl was formed on a potter's wheel and then hand cut and hand pierced to create an undulating rim and symmetrical pattern. It stands alone, but is also for displaying fruit on an island, countertop, or dining table. The Rhubarb colored glaze breaks to quiet tones of beige and off white to subtly highlight the cut edges.
